But just as the churches are empty today so is the tomb. He is Risen. In this sometimes dark and very uncertain time we need the Good News more than ever. Despite everything going on in the world the light of the Gospel is as bright as ever. Today my family will celebrate our Savior who gave hope to us all. It is through Him that I have a living, breathing faith that gives me hope. Hallelujah He is Risen, just as He said!

This season has been one of weeding and pruning fo This season has been one of weeding and pruning for a lot of us. ⠀ ⠀ We’ve been forced to weed out all the busy from our lives, prune the schedule and trim down to spending time in the four walls of our home with the ones we love the most. ⠀ ⠀ Time has taken on a different quality in quarantine for my family. We’ve given ourselves permission to slow down and do stuff just for fun on a weekday evening, because where else do we have to be right now? ⠀ ⠀ When all of this is over, and I do have faith that this season isn’t forever, a lot of us will be rushing to return to normal. But let’s take this time to truly decide what parts of normal are serving us. What parts of normal are making us better people, closer families, more loving partners. ⠀ ⠀ I know for me I intend to keep a lot more of these slow, sweet times just sitting on the back porch with my family or going on family walks. ⠀ ⠀ What parts of quarantine life do you want to keep when we all go “back to normal?”
